Photography exhibition titled "Faces" by Prof. Grzegorz W. Kołodko

This is another exhibition of photos taken by prof. Grzegorz W. Kolodko, our lecturer, Director of the TIGER Research Center, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and... a traveler who visited over 160 countries.

This time the exhibition is titled "Faces". The exhibition opening will take place on October 2, 2023 at 5:00 pm on the University's campus, atrium C.

The Professor himself talks about his new exhibition this way:

"Look who is watching us! Or is looking at something that catches their attention. How much can be read from a human face…

There are over eight billion of us in the world, twice as many as just 50 years ago. And every year the number increases by another seventy-five million. The population is not growing everywhere, because there are countries where more people leave this world than come into it. At the same time, there are places where it got too crowded. While in the villages of the African Sahel some mothers have ten children or more, in the cities of Japan and South Korea not every woman has even one. There are places abounding in riches, there are others of abject poverty. There are spots where to depart from and where to come.

This exhibition features pictures taken in thirty-three countries. So many different faces here, from whose expressions one can see what is going on in the human soul. Although they are all different, yet we are alike, aren't we? While you are looking at others, try to see yourself too...".

The exhibition will last until November 12, 2023.
